There
are four reasons to choose GHIS:
Credentials
Experience
Peace of mind
Convenience
Our Credentials
All of our inspectors are South Carolina licensed and ASHI
certified. Inspections are conducted according to the
ASHI
Standards of Practice.
Having an ASHI certified inspector means you are getting an
inspector certified through the nation's oldest and most widely
recognized home inspection certification program.
Our stucco inspectors are certified through Moisture Warranty
Corporation.
This means our stucco inspectors are experts in stucco homes.
Our expertise will help you protect your investment by
identifying any areas of concern that should be resolved before
further damage can take place. Our expertise will also aid
homeowners in properly preparing their stucco homes to be sold.
Our Experience
We perform over 800 inspections per year, and have inspected
over 15,000 homes in the Augusta area.
The level of experience our inspectors have is unmatched in the
industry. Our inspectors have completed thousands of
inspections. Buying a home is possibly the largest investment
you will ever make, and you want a trained eye viewing your
future or current home. Don't make the mistake of hiring an
inexperienced inspector.
Gerald Hargrove, owner and operator, is a licensed building
contractor. That means that his background in the
construction industry gives him a knowledge of houses that no
other local inspector has. He is able to put problems in the
right perspective giving a home buyer the ability to understand
what needs to be repaired and what is cosmetic in nature.
We are especially sensitive to the needs of first time
homebuyers.
You deserve the very best home inspection money can buy.
We are highly trained, experienced and are specialists in the
inspection of older homes, new homes and stucco homes. If you
are a new home buyer, you are in exceptionally good hands with
us.
We offer you peace of mind.
Your success is our success. Every action we take
during the inspection process will be in your best interest. We
will work only for you and no one else.
We offer Radon and Mold testing to help you protect your
investment.
Radon and mold are serious concerns for homebuyers and
homeowners today. Our testing equipment will let you know if
there is a problem so you can move forward in solving it. This
will spare you and your family of any health hazards and protect
your investment in the long run. To learn more about radon and
mold, see our services page.
We are fully covered by General Liability insurance.
Liability insurance protects you in the event that something in
the home is accidentally damaged during our inspection.
We are fully covered by Errors and Omissions insurance (E &
O).
Errors and Omissions insurance protects you in the event that
our inspector misses something very significant in the home.
This rarely happens, but in the unlikely event it does, you are
protected.
We are covered by Workman's Compensation.
Workman's Compensation insurance protects the inspector in the
event he is hurt during the inspection. Many builders require
this type of insurance for home inspectors to inspect homes in
their subdivisions.
We make it easy for you.
We produce a computer generated report.
Time is of the essence, and therefore you will not wait for your
inspection report one minute longer than you have to. The
pictures in our reports will help clear up any areas of
confusion, and overall make your inspection negotiations
smoother. Having an electronic copy of the report makes it easy
for you to share quickly and easily.
We accept major credit cards - Visa, MasterCard and American
Express.
We want to make it easy for you - so we accept many different
forms of payment so you can decide what works best for you.
Our staff is flexible and courteous and available when you
call!
When you call us, you will get someone on the phone to answer
your questions, resolve your concerns, and make your experience
with our company a pleasant one.
